Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Power of One

In 2009, the St. John Lutheran Church Trust Fund will celebrate its 25th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, the Trust Fund Committee will make 25 grants of $100 each. The grants will be available to individuals and small groups within the congregation to complete a service project.

Believing that individuals have the power to make a difference, and in the spirit of "every gift matters," the grants will be used to benefit the congregation or the community. Grant requests should exhibit the spirit of putting gifts into action in Christ's name for the sake of others.

  • Applications will be available on February 1, 2009 and must be returned by March 1, 2009.

  • Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and awarded during worship on March 5, 2009.

  • Projects must be completed by December 31, 2009.

  • Projects must be creatively documented using photographs, music, video or any combination of media. Three projects will be selected to be showcased at the 2010 Friends of the Fund annual celebration event.

  • A final report form must be submitted at the conclusion of the project.

  • Applicants may partner with other funding sources and/or work together with other organizations, groups or individuals for project activities. It is encouraged that applicants think creatively about multiplying the impact of their proposed project.
