What is “General”?
Funds received for the “General” portion o f the budget are used for expenses of the church building, staff and the ministries St. John provides.

What is “Outreach”?
Funds received for the “Outreach” portion of the budget are shared with other programs in the community and beyond, including the Western ND Synod and the ELCA.

How can I make contributions or payments toward my pledge?
We offer several options to make a contribution - during worship, by offering envelope, Simply Giving bank withdrawal, online giving, debit and credit cards. Transaction fees for electronic (online) contributions are paid by St. John.

Offering envelope: If you currently do not have mailable offering envelopes and would like to utilize them, contact the Financial office at otto@stjohnelc.org.

Simply Giving: This is an automatic bank withdrawal program which is set up through St. John, and is maintained by our staff. For more information on this program or a form to authorize automatic payments, click here. [PDF]

Online Giving: This is an automatic bank withdrawal that you set up yourself through the use of our website. You may make a payment from a checking or savings account with whatever frequency or date you choose. Click on the “Make a Donation” button on the top of the page or on the front screen of our website to utilize this feature.

Debit or Credit cards: This is a direct charge to a debit or credit card initiated by you through the use of our website only. Click on the “Make a Donation” button on the top of the page or on the front screen of our website to utilize this feature.

Will I receive a statement of my giving?
Yes! If you make a pledge, have offering envelopes or make a contribution during the year, you will receive a quarterly statement of your contributions for your tax records and to confirm the accuracy of our records.
