FaithWeaver Sunday School

Children’s ministries at St. John are centered in the understanding that parents are the most influential faith leaders for our students. Using FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum, we hope to equip parents to be faith leaders for their kids. Each week, students leave their classrooms with a handout that illustrate’s the Bible story and lesson for the day. This provides parents with a tool to relate Scripture to their own family’s everyday life.

Our Sunday School mission ~ To build a strong foundation by encouraging and educating youth and families for living a faith-centered life."

Our congregation’s goals ~

  • Forming Faith in Families
  • Growing Deeper, Not Busier
  • Becoming Stewards Beyond the Collection Plate

INFANTS AND TODDLERS
Students ages zero to two, along with parents, meet for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. in the nursery, located on the main floor near the Commons Area. Parents can volunteer to take turns leading the class as children and parents learn Biblical stories through songs and activities. This class provides a great opportunity to meet other parents of young kids.

AGES THREE THROUGH SIXTH GRADE
Students ages three through sixth grade meet from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Sunday morning. (Classes do not meet on the first Sunday of each month when there is Family Sunday School.) The hour begins with music and prayer. Then, students meet in classrooms to experience Scripture through hands-on activities, games, crafts.

If you are interested in serving as a volunteer, please contact Susan Moberg, Sunday School Director, at moberg@stjohnelc.org.
