EXPECTATIONS FOR THE CONFIRMATION PROGRAM

~ FOR STUDENTS ~

1. Attend confirmation classes, mentor group meetings, and other confirmation activities. If you are unable to attend class or a mentor group meeting or activity, please call the church office (225-6747) or e-mail Jodeen Myers at myers@stjohnelc.org. All incomplete work must be made up.

2. Arrive on time, be polite and respectful.

3. With your parent(s), agree to complete two faith goals by the end of the school year.

4. Participate in discussions, written work, worship activities, and projects for confirmation.

~ FOR PARENTS ~

1. Support and assist your child in attending and participating in confirmation class, mentor group meetings, and confirmation activities. If your child must be absent, please call the church office (225-6747) or e-mail Jodeen Myers at myers@stjohnelc.org. You will be asked to help your child with any homework and make-up tests.

2. Assist your child to arrive on time and remind him/her to be polite and respectful.

3. Be available to teach your child a confirmation lesson (at home if your student attends summer classes and at church if your student attends class during the school year.)

4. With your child, agree to complete two faith goals by the end of the school year.

5. Worship with your child, help your child complete his/her worship notes, and sign the worship notes.

~ FOR MENTORS ~

1. Attend every mentor group and mentor activity scheduled. If you are unable to attend, please notify Jodeen Myers by calling the church office at 225-6747, or email her at myers@stjohnelc.org.
