Badlands Ministries Bible Camp

This wonderful bible camp, located in the badlands of North Dakota, has provided a place for people of all ages and all denominations to get away and experience God’s Creation and Christ’s Love for over 70 years.

We encourage children of all ages to attend this camp, and offer financial assistance to members of St. John Lutheran Church.

Don't forget to include bible camp in your summer plans! There are some new camps this year, with fun and inspirational activities for all age groups!

How to register for camp

1. Registration forms are available on the bulletin board in the Commons area. Fill out a separate form for each child, and for each camp (if one child is attending two camps, fill out two registration forms).

2. Attach your deposit of $125.00 and mail it to the church office, or give your information to Sonnie Otto, Financial Secretary. For camps that cost less than the stated deposit, attach a check for the amount below:
Trailblazers $19.00 per person/per day
Discovery $82.00 per person
InTENTS Camp $82.00 per person
Staff In Training $94.00 per person
Grandparent Camp $37.00 per person/per day

3. Fundraising! If your camper has a “Fundraiser credit”, the amount of their credit can be deducted from the total cost of their camp. A letter will be sent to all kids in April who participated in the fundraisers (last fall & this spring) which will have information on how much credit they have on their account.

What if my child “earns” more than the cost of their camp?
These funds are sent to Badlands Ministries, where a campership fund has been set up to assist families who cannot afford to send their children to camp. This is a great stewardship tool for our campers to share with others!

4. Any fundraising dollars and campership funds will be attached to your registration and mailed to the bible camp as they are received in the church office. The bible camp will send you a confirmation letter of the camp you are signed up for, and your current balance along with what you will need to bring to camp.

REMEMBER!
Your registration must be given to the church office to participate in the camperships available. These are open to all St. John Lutheran campers.

Camp sessions are filled on a “first come” basis - space is limited, so register early!
