ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH DICKINSON, ND
We Say Yes to Share, Save & Spend
TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD FEBRUARY 3, 2008
10:30 a.m. Sunday
CONFESSION OF SINS
P We gather as the people of God to offer our repentance and praise, to pray for the unity of the church and the renewal of our life together. Trusting in God’s mercy and compassion, let us ask for the forgiveness of our sins. (Silence for reflection & self-examination)
P Lord Jesus, you came to reconcile us to one another and to the Father: Lord, have mercy on us. Assembly Lord, have mercy on us.
P Lord Jesus, you heal the wounds of pride and intolerance. Christ, have mercy on us. A Christ, have mercy on us.
P Lord Jesus, you pardon the sinner and welcome the repentant. Lord, have mercy on us. A Lord, have mercy on us.
P Almighty God grants you pardon and the forgiveness of all your sins. May Christ, the dawn from on high, shine upon you, and by the light of the Holy Spirit, guide your feet into the way of peace. A Amen

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen
(Sit) DISTRIBUTION & COMMUNION SONGS
Above All
Above all powers, above all kings, above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man,
You were here before the world began
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones, above all wonders,
The world has ever known. Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth
Crucified laid behind a stone, you lived to die rejected and alone.
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me . . . above all.
All Who Are Thirsty
All who are thirsty; All who are weak.
Come to the fountain, dip your heart in the stream of life.
Let the pain and the sorrow be washed away.
In the waves of his mercy as deep cries out to deep.
Come, Lord Jesus, come. Come, Lord Jesus, come
Come, Lord Jesus, come. Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Holy Spirit, come. Holy Spirit, come.
Holy Spirit, come. Holy Spirit, come.
As deep cries out to deep . . . As deep cries out to deep . . .
As deep cries out to deep
Sanctuary
Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true;
With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you
(Repeat 3 times).
