THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER
APRIL 6, 2008
10:30 a.m. Sunday
CONFESSION OF SINS
P Trusting in the word of life given in baptism, we are gathered in the name of the Father, and of the (+) Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Blessed be God, who chose us in Christ. Let us come to the fountain of mercy. (Silence for reflection & self-examination)
P Almighty God,
A In raising Jesus from the tomb, you destroyed the power of sin and death. Hear us as we confess our failure to live the good news of the resurrection. Grant us the power of your grace. Forgive us, heal us, and renew us, so that we may know the joy of abundant life, given in Jesus Christ. Amen.
P In great mercy God has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In obedience to our Lord’s command, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father, and of the (+) Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

THE APOSTLES' CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

(Sit) DISTRIBUTION & COMMUNION SONGS
Communion Song
Take this bread, I give it to you, and as you do, remember me.
This bread is my body, broken just for you: Take it, eat it,
Each time you do, remember me, remember me.
Take this cup, I filled for you; as you do, remember me.
This cup is the new covenant, I’m making with you: Take it, eat it,
Each time you do, remember me, remember me.
Take this love, I’ve given you, and as you do, remember me.
Remember me, remember me, remember me.
